Causes of WW I

The main cause of World war one is the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. His death and his wife led to a congress which led to a conflict which ultimately led to a war. Some reasons also had to do with economic problems and conflicts or more disputes in other countries. For example the crisis in Bosnia and Africa led to ultimately conflict and a war over land and money. Also some countries were more prepared for warfare since they have heightened their defenses and weapons. This could be called a "arms race". Then came people nationalistic beliefs, for example if their country were to be invaded they would not stand back and let them be taken over by the enemy. Also most countries had alliances and unions since either their military was not power full enough or the county was a colony of the mother country. Eventually all these little things add up and build upon each other and you have warefare and crisis in other countries. These are the causes of WW I
